The EUNICoast Alliance invites all members to the Hub 5 Workshop, dedicated to engineering and data-driven solutions for coastal infrastructure, marine renewable energy, maritime safety and smart navigation.

Hosted by the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), the workshop brings together researchers, students and staff from across the Alliance for a full day of talks, expert round tables and open discussion on the technologies shaping the future of coastal and marine systems. The programme runs across three sessions: energy transition in coastal and marine environments, smart marine technologies (AI, IoT and autonomous systems), and data-driven infrastructure and navigation systems, each closing with moderated Q&A and round-table discussion. The day concludes with a strategic round table on future collaboration, joint projects and EU funding opportunities.

Participants are also invited to join a technical visit on 8 September to UIB's Campus Zero Emissions initiative, showcasing the university's renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable mobility projects.
