EUNICoast brings together students and academics from its partner universities for an intensive week of hands-on learning on sustainable tourism, cultural heritage, and community engagement, set against the unique backdrop of the Åland Islands.
EUNICoast is hosting its first international conference from 4 to 6 November in Le Havre. Inter-Alliance AI Laboratory: Education, Research, Practice will bring together students, teachers, researchers and institutional leaders from EUNICoast and partner European university alliances to tackle a shared challenge:
Blended Intensive Programme hosted by the University of the Azores in Ponta Delgada, combining an online session and an on-site programme focused on research and innovation in island, port and coastal contexts.
The programme brings together researchers, academic and technical staff from across the EUNICoast Alliance to collaborate on key R&I themes and exchange practices.
As part of the preparatory phase of the EUNICoast Doctoral School, the Short-term Mobilities scheme supports PhD candidates wishing to carry out a short research stay at a partner institution.
The scheme aims to foster early collaboration, support interdisciplinary research, and strengthen doctoral capacity across the Alliance.

This Workshop is a core activity of the preparatory phase of the EUNICoast Doctoral School. It brings together PhD candidates from partner universities to strengthen transversal skills, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and test joint doctoral training formats at Alliance level.
The workshop also provides a space for strategic reflection on the future structure of the EUNICoast Doctoral School.

This intensive programme provides advanced, hands-on training on marine pollution assessment and coastal ecosystem health, delivered by leading researchers from across the EUNICoast alliance. Hosted at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), the programme combines academic excellence, fieldwork and real-world challenges in a highly international learning environment.
Participants will work in multinational teams on concrete pollution issues in the Balearic Islands, applying the One Health approach to explore links between ocean health, ecosystems and human wellbeing. The programme includes lectures, field sampling, laboratory analysis and challenge-based projects, with direct interaction with local fisheries and aquaculture stakeholders.
EUNICoast is building its Common Research Agenda through a structured, bottom-up process led by WP3 and coordinated by the University of the Azores. The agenda draws on the expertise of five Teaching & Research Hubs, each addressing a distinct thematic area: coastal heritage and identities, blue circular economy, island governance, biodiversity and marine resources, and coastal engineering.
