Two EUNICoast representatives at European Maritime Day 2025

From 21 to 23 May in Cork, Ireland, EUNICoast has actively shaped discussions at the European Maritime Day 2025, contributing our unique perspective as a network of 12 coastal and island universities.

Our key contributions:

  • Leading youth engagement - Participating in the "Young Generation Approach 4 Resilient Blue Economy" workshop, where we're showcasing how students from coastal regions drive sustainable solutions
  • Strengthening university networks - Contributing to the SEAWARDS European University Ocean Cluster session, sharing our model for maritime academic collaboration
  • Building coastal resilience - Engaging with EU Pilot Sites workshop to exchange strategies for protecting vulnerable coastal communities
  • Advancing energy transition - Contributing to the Energy Transition Partnership for Fisheries and Aquaculture discussions

This participation reinforces EUNICoast's commitment to bridging academic excellence with practical solutions for Europe's maritime challenges.
