From 2 to 6 February 2026, the EUNICoast Alliance delivered its flagship educational activity Educating with Impact: Inclusion, Technology, and Creative Expression in Palma, Spain. The event brought together PhD candidates, early-career researchers, and educators from across the Alliance. Its objective was clear: explore how education can respond to societal challenges in coastal and island territories.
From 28 to 29 January 2026, EUNICoast successfully delivered its Capacity Building Programme at Université Le Havre Normandie (ULHN). A dedicated Train-the-Trainer session followed on 30 January, bringing together a smaller group of participants to support long-term knowledge transfer across the alliance.
From 26 to 28 November 2025, Paulina Góra and Dorotea Markasović represented the EUNICOAST Student Council at the FOREU4ALL Student-Led Community Workshop & Networking Event in Brussels.
The EUNICoast Alliance proudly celebrates the inclusion of researchers from its partner universities in the Stanford–Elsevier Top 2% Scientists List 2025, which recognizes the most influential scientists worldwide based on citation impact and research productivity.
The University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) is hosting the education working group and the legal office of the university alliance from 12 to 14 November.
The EUNICoast consortium is thrilled to announce the launch, in December 2025, of a series of bimonthly Webinars - “Bridging R&I among Coastal Regions”, designed to strengthen scientific and academic cooperation between partner universities and their Teaching and Research Hubs (T&R Hubs).
Åland University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with EUNICoast, successfully hosted Energy Day 2025 on 29 October at its North Campus in Mariehamn and online.
